River Biographies

River Biographies is a meditative headphone-based artwork by artist duo Lundahl & Seitl. Up to forty participants put on headphones and together recreate the movement of water - from source to sea - through simple movement instructions that each person interprets according to their own ability. The audience becomes part of the work, and each performance is shaped by the location, the participants, and the waterways nearby.

The work moves between choreography, sound art, and nature experience. During the Riksteatern tour, it is performed in Swedish. Performance length: 50 min.

River Biographies was originally created in collaboration with Liljevalchs Konsthall and West Bund Museum together with Chronus Art Center, Shanghai (CN), and Riksteatern.
