Göteborg Film Festival 2027

The 50th edition of Göteborg Film Festival takes place 29 January - 7 February 2027. Over eleven days, around 250 films from approximately 80 countries are screened at roughly 700 showings, and hundreds of invited filmmakers - directors, actors, cinematographers, producers and others - meet the audience both in cinemas and in informal settings. At the closing gala, Dragon Awards are presented to the winners of the festival's competition categories.

Founded in 1979, the festival is the largest film festival in the Nordic region, attracting around 270,000 visitors per year across cinema screenings and online. The programme also includes talks, parties and concerts. Since 2021, a curated selection of films has been screened simultaneously online for audiences throughout Sweden.

The industry days, led by TV Drama Vision and Nordic Film Market, serve as the primary marketplace for Nordic film and television drama, drawing visitors from the Nordic region and around the world.
