Oil Painting Course for Adults - Portrait Painting

A course in portrait painting with oil for adult beginners and experienced painters. Over three sessions - on Wednesdays 28 October, 4 November and 11 November, 18.00-20.30 - various techniques and methods will be introduced. Inspiration is drawn from the museum's collection and art history to explore expressive approaches applicable to portrait painting. The course is led by artist and museum art educator Cornelia Tell.

No prior knowledge is required, only curiosity about colour and creativity. The course is open to adults from 18 years old and takes a maximum of 12 participants. Price: 1 620 kronor including all materials and refreshments (plus a 30 kronor service fee). Aprons are available to borrow - however, avoid wearing fine clothes.

Note: The museum's workshop is located in the basement, one flight down. There is no ramp or lift.

Cancellations are accepted up to 10 days before the course starts (by 18 October at the latest). The ticket is personal and cannot be resold. The service fee is not refunded upon cancellation. Questions can be directed to konstskola@brorhjorthshus.se or 018-567030.
