Aaron Edward Eckhart (born March 12, 1968, Cupertino, California) is an American actor whose career spans independent cinema, prestige drama, and large-scale studio productions. He broke through with Neil LaBute's provocative black comedy In the Company of Men (1997), earned a Golden Globe nomination for Thank You for Smoking (2005), and reached global audiences as Harvey Dent / Two-Face in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight (2008) - the highest-grossing film of his career at over $1 billion worldwide. In recent years he has worked steadily in action thrillers, with several projects in production or development as of 2026.
