Pop duo Icona Pop showcases new music from their upcoming album RITUAL at Pustervik in Göteborg.
Aino Jawo (born 7 July 1986, of a Finnish mother and Gambian father) is one half of the Stockholm electropop duo Icona Pop, which she formed with Caroline Hjelt in 2009 after the two met at a party despite attending the same music school. The duo broke internationally with 'I Love It' (feat. Charli XCX, 2012), which peaked at #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #1 on the UK Singles Chart, and has since accumulated over 2.5 billion career streams. Their third album, Club Romantech (2023), was their first full-length release in a decade and featured collaborations with Galantis, SOFI TUKKER and Joel Corry.
Icona Pop had been announced as the opening act for Meghan Trainor's 33-date North American 'Get In Girl Tour', but the tour was cancelled in April 2026 after Trainor cited family commitments following the birth of her third child.
