Bagjan Oktyabr is a Kazakh cellist and composer who trained classically from the age of six at the Zhubanov Specialized Music School in Almaty. He is the creator of Soul Therapy, a concert project that sits at the crossroads of original cello music, world hits, Kazakh folk motifs and melodies from popular Turkish TV dramas - all in his own arrangements. His tours sell out venues across Europe, Turkey and the Middle East, and in 2025 he received Kazakhstan's state Daryn prize.
Bagjan Oktyabr performed Kazakh composer Akhmet Zhubanov's piece 'Karlygash' at the Aktolagai plateau in Kazakhstan's Aktobe region, filmed as an outdoor performance video.
