Bitchin Bajas is a Chicago-based trio - Cooper Crain, Rob Frye and Dan Quinlivan - whose music moves between minimalism, free improvisation and synthesizer-driven cosmic drift. Active since 2010 and signed to Drag City, they have released ten studio albums, including the Sun Ra tribute Switched On Ra and the 2025 record Inland See, which Pitchfork called "cosmic, dazzling, and hypnotic." Crain also plays in the Chicago band Cave and engineered Stereolab's 2025 album Instant Holograms on Metal Film.
Bitchin Bajas announced the Isle Peaks EP, due August 28, 2026 via Drag City, with a European tour in October-November including Sweden and Norway.
The Isle Peaks EP was first released as a Qobuz exclusive in early 2026, sourced from the Inland See sessions and recorded to analog tape.
