British singer-songwriter Blanco White blends flamenco, cueca, and charango with pop music. A concert at Göta Lejon in Stockholm.
Blanco White is the stage name of London-born singer-songwriter Josh Edwards (b. 1991), who spent formative years studying flamenco guitar in Cádiz and the Andean charango in Sucre, Bolivia - both instruments now central to his sound. His music weaves together Andalusian folk, Latin American traditions and British indie-folk, earning him a devoted global following since his debut EP 'The Wind Rose' in 2016. The project name is a nod to the 19th-century Anglo-Spanish poet José María Blanco White. His second album 'Tarifa' (2023, Nettwerk) was written during recovery from a debilitating chronic nerve condition and marked a new rhythmic direction in his songwriting.
Blanco White released a new single 'Dreamcatcher' in 2026, his first new music since the 2025 singles.
Blanco White released two singles in 2025: 'So Certain (Something Reminds Me)' and 'Fish in the Reeds'.
Blanco White played a sold-out show at Ancienne Belgique in Brussels as part of his Tarifa world tour.
Blanco White completed a North American tour leg in September 2025, with dates in Toronto, Montreal, New York, Austin and Denver.
A UK & Europe 2027 tour has been announced, with dates in Stockholm, Brussels, Arnhem, Barcelona, Madrid and Dublin.
