About

Bloc Party are a London indie rock band formed in 1999 by vocalist Kele Okereke and guitarist Russell Lissack, whose debut album Silent Alarm (2005) became one of the defining records of the post-punk revival. Blending angular guitars, frenetic rhythms and electronic textures, they have released six studio albums and sold over three million copies worldwide. The current lineup also includes drummer Louise Bartle and bassist Harry Deacon. Their seventh album, Anatomy of a Brief Romance, produced by Trevor Horn, is due in September 2026.
