Boris René (born Boris Lumbana, 1991, Kinshasa) is a Congolese-born Swedish singer working in alternative pop, soul and R&B, who first came to wide attention at Melodifestivalen 2016 with the platinum-selling 'Put Your Love on Me'. Before music he played professional football in Sweden, including several seasons at Örebro SK. He has since built a career across pop releases, live touring with his 10-piece band SoulMates, and musical theatre.
Boris René plays the role of Teen Angel in the Swedish premiere of Grease The Musical at Rondo, Göteborg, opening 25 September 2026.
As part of the trio CuRLi (with David Lindgren and Greg Curtis), Boris René competed in the San Marino Song Contest 2025 with 'Juliet', finishing in 7th place.
