Brymir is a Finnish melodic death metal band from Helsinki, active since 2006. They blend symphonic arrangements and cinematic soundscapes - shaped in part by vocalist Viktor Storm Gullichsen's work as a film sound designer - with driving melodic death metal riffs. The band has released four studio albums on labels including Spinefarm and Napalm Records, and has shared stages with acts such as Children of Bodom, Ensiferum and Wolfheart.
Brymir announced their fifth studio album, What We Leave Behind, due October 2, 2026 via Napalm Records, and released the title track as the first single.
The band announced a Finnish headline tour for autumn 2026 in support of the new album, with Horizon Ignited and Omnivortex as special guests.
Brymir are scheduled to play Hellsinki Metal Festival in Helsinki and Summer Breeze Open Air in Dinkelsbühl in summer 2026.
Guitarist Sean Haslam, a founding member, departed the band in 2025.
