Charlotte Perrelli (born 7 October 1974 in Hovmantorp, Småland) is a Swedish singer and television host who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1999 with "Take Me to Your Heaven" and again took Melodifestivalen in 2008 with "Hero", which topped the Swedish charts for five weeks. Her career spans schlager, pop and musical theatre - she has played Eva Perón at Malmö Opera and starred in Jesus Christ Superstar - and she has released over ten studio albums. A regular on the Diggiloo summer tour for many years, she now lives in Marbella, Spain, while continuing to perform across Sweden.
