Cutting Crew is an English rock band formed in London in 1985 by vocalist Nick Van Eede and Canadian guitarist Kevin MacMichael. Their debut single "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1987 and reached number one in 16 countries - including Finland and Norway - making it also the first US chart-topper for Virgin Records. The debut album Broadcast earned the band a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Van Eede has led a revived lineup since the mid-2000s, continuing to tour and record.
