Dark Tranquillity is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Gothenburg, formed in 1989. Considered one of the originators of the Gothenburg metal sound, they blend heavy riffs with melodic keyboards and harsh vocals. Albums like "The Gallery" and "Fiction" have cemented their place in the genre.
