David Fincher (born August 28, 1962, Denver, Colorado) is an American film director whose work spans feature films, television and music videos. He broke through with Se7en (1995) and went on to direct Fight Club, Zodiac, The Social Network and Gone Girl - films that collectively earned his work over $2.1 billion at the global box office and brought him three Academy Award nominations for Best Director. His long-running partnership with Netflix has produced the series Mindhunter and House of Cards as well as the features Mank (2020) and The Killer (2023).
