Powerpop legend David Myhr takes the stage at Debaser Nova to celebrate his third solo album.
David Myhr is a Stockholm-based Swedish singer-songwriter and power pop specialist, best known as the frontman of The Merrymakers - a band that stayed largely under the radar at home but sold over 100,000 albums in Japan and built a cult following in the US and Europe. After the band dissolved in 2010, Myhr launched a solo career on the UK label Lojinx, releasing the critically praised debut Soundshine (2012) and the Nashville-recorded Lucky Day (2018), while also working as a senior lecturer at a music university.
Powerpopaholic reviewed 'Summer Summer Summer' as the opening track of Myhr's latest solo album, calling it 'a swirling gem.'
David Myhr released the single 'Summer Summer Summer' via Monogram Recordings / Oglio Entertainment, co-written with Bill DeMain.
Myhr's official Spotify biography confirmed a new album is expected in 2026.
Myhr released the EP 'And Now This', which Powerpopaholic named a top EP of 2021.
Myhr's second solo album 'Lucky Day' was recorded in Nashville and co-produced by Brad Jones and Andreas Dahlbäck.
