Fat Mike, born Michael John Burkett, is the bassist, vocalist and founder of the American punk band NOFX, which he started in Los Angeles in 1983. He also runs the independent label Fat Wreck Chords. His blunt, often self-deprecating lyrics helped define the melodic punk sound of the 1990s.
