The Gothenburg collective Fauna presents their debut album Taiga Trans at Debaser Nova - an organic and psychedelic concert with dance-friendly energy.
Fauna is a nine-piece collective from Gothenburg, Sweden, whose music sits at the crossroads of psychedelic ritual, krautrock momentum and dancefloor energy. Founded by guitarist Tommie Ek and bassist Ibrahim Shabo, the group draws members with roots in France, Finland, Poland, Syria, Sweden and Turkey - and that breadth shows in the sound: saz, darbuka and jaw harp locked into four-to-the-floor grooves alongside electric guitars and electronics. Their debut album Taiga Trans, released on Glitterbeat Records in April 2026, earned wide critical attention for fusing ancient instruments with club-ready production.
Fauna released their debut album Taiga Trans on Glitterbeat Records on 10 April 2026.
Sound Dissection reviewed Taiga Trans, describing it as an album that illustrates cultural diffusion across eight compositions.
Fauna released the single 'Bland träden' in January 2026 as the first preview of the debut album.
The band completed work on their debut album in autumn 2025 ahead of a planned busy 2026 with tours and festival appearances.
