About

Good Charlotte is an American pop-punk band from Waldorf, Maryland, built around twin brothers Joel Madden (vocals) and Benji Madden (guitar), alongside Paul Thomas, Billy Martin and Dean Butterworth. Their 2002 album The Young and the Hopeless - driven by 'The Anthem' and 'Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous' - sold nearly five million copies worldwide and made them one of the defining acts of the early-2000s rock revival. After a seven-year gap they returned in August 2025 with their eighth studio album Motel Du Cap, released on Atlantic Records to widespread critical praise.
