Grand Kyiv Ballet

About

Grand Kyiv Ballet is an independent Ukrainian touring ballet company founded in 2014 by Oleksandr Stoianov, a former principal dancer of the National Opera of Ukraine. Starting with a 35-theatre tour of France, the company has grown to over 120 dancers across four troupes, giving more than 500 performances a year worldwide. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the company has operated partly from the International Ballet Academy in Bellevue, Washington, while continuing to tour Europe and North America. A share of ticket revenue goes toward rebuilding the war-damaged Kyiv State Choreographic College.
