H.E.R. (Gabriella Sarmiento Wilson, born June 27, 1997) is an American R&B singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Vallejo, California, of Filipino and African-American heritage. She broke through in 2016 with her debut EP under a deliberately anonymous persona, and has since won five Grammy Awards - including Song of the Year for 'I Can't Breathe' - plus an Academy Award for Best Original Song for 'Fight for You' from the film Judas and the Black Messiah.
H.E.R. told Us Weekly she is close to finishing new music, saying fans will 'hear something soon' as she is 'almost to the finish line'.
A new single featuring H.E.R., titled 'Move', was released on September 25, 2025.
H.E.R. performed alongside Usher at the Super Bowl halftime show in 2024.
H.E.R. won a Children's and Family Emmy Award for outstanding short-form program for her work on the Netflix series We the People, co-produced by Barack and Michelle Obama.
