Hugh Jackman (born 12 October 1968 in Sydney) is an Australian actor, singer and producer who broke through internationally as Wolverine in the X-Men film series - a role he played across 24 years, from X-Men (2000) to Deadpool & Wolverine (2024). On stage he is equally at home: he has won two Tony Awards, a Grammy and a Primetime Emmy, and received Oscar and BAFTA nominations for his film work, including Les Misérables (2012). He is a Companion of the Order of Australia.
Jackman's A24 film The Death of Robin Hood, directed by Michael Sarnoski and co-starring Jodie Comer and Bill Skarsgård, opened in US theaters on June 19, 2026.
Jackman attended the 2026 Met Gala alongside girlfriend Sutton Foster, marking their first joint appearance at the annual fashion event.
