About

Hypocrisy is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Ludvika, founded in 1991 by Peter Tägtgren. Over thirteen studio albums they built a reputation for pairing raw, crushing riffs with atmospheric melodies and alien-abduction lyrical themes. Tägtgren also produces and records the band himself, giving their sound a distinctive in-house quality. The 2021 comeback album Worship ended an eight-year silence and was followed by the announced fourteenth record, Chapter 5.
