concert20:00SAGA - The Generations Tour 1977-2027
Canadian progressive rock legends SAGA mark 50 years with a tour across Sweden. Classic hits spanning from 1977 to today.
Ian Crichton is the guitarist and a founding member of Saga, the Canadian progressive rock band he co-founded in Oakville, Ontario in 1977 alongside his brother Jim, vocalist Michael Sadler, drummer Steve Negus and keyboardist Peter Rochon. His staccato phrasing and unison guitar-keyboard lines are central to the Saga sound, heard across albums from the breakthrough Worlds Apart (1981) to the acoustic Symmetry (2021). Beyond Saga, he recorded solo albums and served as guitarist for Asia from 1997 to 1999.
Saga announced a return to live performances in 2026 with a series of engagements across Canada, with frontman Michael Sadler rejoining Ian Crichton and Jim Gilmour in the core lineup.
Ian Crichton broke his leg and foot in August 2024 and missed several Saga shows during his 6-8 week recovery, with Dusty Chesterfield standing in on guitar.
Saga released their acoustic album Symmetry in March 2021 via earMUSIC, their most recent studio record.
