About
Imminence is a Swedish metalcore band from Trelleborg, formed in 2009 by Harald Barrett and vocalist-violinist Eddie Berg. Their sound sets violin and orchestral textures against heavy Scandinavian riffing - a combination critics have dubbed 'violincore' - and their 2024 album The Black was widely praised as their most ambitious work yet. In June 2026 the band signed with Sumerian Records and released the single 'The Sword That Never Bends', opening a new chapter with a 22-date North American headline tour and a co-headline European run with August Burns Red planned for early 2027.
