Stravinsky's Petrushka meets Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 4 with world-renowned pianist Isata Kanneh-Mason in Malmö.
Isata Kanneh-Mason (born 1996, Nottingham) is a British pianist of Sierra Leonean and Antiguan heritage, signed to Decca Classics and widely regarded as one of the most sought-after classical soloists of her generation. She trained at the Purcell School and the Royal Academy of Music on the Sir Elton John Scholarship, and has championed overlooked composers - notably Clara Schumann and Fanny Mendelssohn - alongside the core Romantic and 20th-century repertoire. The eldest of seven musically gifted siblings collectively known as the Kanneh-Masons, she has won the Leonard Bernstein Award and an Opus Klassik prize for best young artist.
Isata Kanneh-Mason released her fifth solo album, Prokofiev, on Decca Classics on 10 April 2026.
The Kanneh-Masons released their second joint family album, River of Music, on 12 September 2025, reuniting all seven siblings on Decca Classics.
During the 2025/26 season, Isata performed Rachmaninoff's Third Piano Concerto at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw and toured with the Budapest Festival Orchestra.
Isata performed at the First Night of the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Symphony Orchestra and conductor Elim Chan.
Isata made her Stern Auditorium debut at Carnegie Hall with Iván Fischer and the European Union Youth Orchestra, playing Dohnányi's Variations on a Nursery Tune.
