Jessica Chastain (born 1977, Northern California) is an American actress and producer who trained at the Juilliard School and broke through in 2011 with six film releases in a single year. She holds an Academy Award for Best Actress for The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2022), and has earned Oscar nominations for The Help and Zero Dark Thirty. Beyond acting, she produces through her company Freckle Films and is a vocal advocate for gender equality in the film industry.
