Joe Bonamassa (born May 8, 1977) is an American blues-rock guitarist, singer and songwriter from New York who opened for B.B. King at age twelve and turned professional from that moment on. He has released 17 solo studio albums on his own label J&R Adventures, holding the all-time record of 29 No. 1 albums on the Billboard Blues chart - more than any other artist. Beyond his solo work he plays in the hard-rock supergroup Black Country Communion and has recorded acclaimed duet albums with vocalist Beth Hart; he also runs the Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, which funds music education across the United States.
