Kim Wilde (born Kim Smith, 18 November 1960) is an English pop singer who broke through in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America" and went on to become the most-charted British female solo act of the 1980s, with 17 UK Top 40 hits across the decade. Her 1986 cover of "You Keep Me Hangin' On" reached #1 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and she won the Brit Award for Best British Female in 1983. Now on her 15th studio album, Closer (2025), she continues to tour and record actively.
Kim Wilde performed at the Hampton Court Palace Festival '80s Classical show on 20 June 2026, playing hits with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra alongside Nik Kershaw and Go West.
Kim Wilde announced an eight-city Australian tour for November 2026 under the Closer Tour banner, covering Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Adelaide, Newcastle, Sydney and Canberra.
