Film screening of "Bortglömda ön" in Grebbestad.
Lea Salonga (born 22 February 1971 in Manila, Philippines) is a Filipina singer and actress who first reached international audiences at 18 when she originated the role of Kim in the West End production of Miss Saigon - a performance that won her the Olivier Award and, when she reprised it on Broadway, the Tony Award, making her the first Asian actress to win in that category. She is also the singing voice behind two Disney princesses, Jasmine in Aladdin (1992) and Fa Mulan in Mulan (1998), for which Disney named her a Disney Legend. With 14 albums and sold-out concerts at venues from Carnegie Hall to the Royal Albert Hall and the Sydney Opera House, she remains one of the best-selling Filipino artists of all time.
Lea Salonga was announced as part of the Hollywood Walk of Fame class of 2026, set to become the first Filipino to receive a star there.
Salonga completed her Broadway run in Stephen Sondheim's Old Friends, for which she received a Drama League Distinguished Performance Award nomination.
Salonga launched her Stage, Screen & Everything In Between North American concert tour, covering over 30 cities across the US and Canada.
Salonga performed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles as part of her ongoing 2026 concert schedule.
Salonga is scheduled to perform at Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS in Kuala Lumpur in September 2026.
