Brazilian artist Leo Middea brings his blend of MPB, folk and pop to Nefertiti. An international career spanning tens of millions of streams and performances across more than 16 countries.
Leo Middea (born 1995 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian MPB singer-songwriter and guitarist who has spent most of his adult life between Lisbon and Barcelona. Rooted in bossa nova, samba and folk, his music weaves in contemporary pop and electronic textures, and his lyrics circle around identity, travel and the Brazilian diaspora in Europe. In 2024 he became the first Brazilian artist to reach the final of Portugal's Festival da Canção - finishing runner-up - and that same year performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and completed over 100 concerts across multiple countries.
Leo Middea released his sixth studio album Noticias de Puglia on 26 February 2026 via Agogo Records and LOCO Records, followed by a European tour extending to North America.
The Noticias de Puglia tour includes dates in Vienna, Munich, London, Barcelona and New York, among other cities.
Middea performed at the Montreux Jazz Festival and completed over 100 concerts across multiple countries in 2024.
Middea finished runner-up at Portugal's Festival da Canção 2024, becoming the first Brazilian artist to reach the final in the competition's six-decade history.
He received the Prémio Embaixadores in the Music category for his role in promoting Brazilian and Portuguese culture across Europe.
