Les Big Byrd is a Stockholm-based psychedelic rock band formed in 2011 by Joakim Åhlund (Teddybears, Caesars) and bassist Frans Johansson (Fireside), later joined by drummer Nino Keller and keyboardist Christian Olsson. Mixing krautrock rhythms, synth textures and melodic pop instincts, they have built a devoted following across Sweden and Europe over five studio albums. Åhlund also has credits as a producer and songwriter for artists including Robyn and Giorgio Moroder, giving the band an unusually deep connection to the wider Swedish pop world.
Les Big Byrd released their fifth studio album Ruin Everything on 5 June 2026 via Chimp Limbs.
God Is In The TV reviewed Ruin Everything positively on release day, calling it 'a fine album indeed' and noting the band 'are getting better and better'.
V13.net published a detailed feature on Ruin Everything in April 2026, noting the album confronts themes of death and dystopia and was recorded in a Sollentuna studio with fifty years of Swedish music history.
