Dancer Noah Hellwig and violinist Malin Broman create a concert where music and movement converge. The orchestra explores classical dance works by Bartók, Dvorák, Bruch and Brahms alongside contemporary pieces.
Malin Broman is a Swedish violinist born in Kungsbacka in 1975, serving as concertmaster of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra since 2008 and musical director of the Nordic Chamber Orchestra from 2025. A founding member of the Kungsbacka Piano Trio and the Stockholm Syndrome Ensemble, she has built a wide-ranging career as soloist, chamber musician and orchestral leader across Europe, Australia and the Americas, with over 30 recordings to her name.
The world premiere recording of Helen Grime's Violin Concerto, performed by Broman with the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under Daniel Harding, was released on OUR Recordings on 16 January 2026.
The Nordic Chamber Orchestra announced Broman as its new musical director, with her three-year tenure beginning in the 2025-2026 season.
Broman's recording of Britta Byström's works was released on vinyl and digital via OUR Recordings in January 2025.
Broman took on the Nordic Chamber Orchestra role while continuing her ongoing tenure as artistic director of the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra in Finland, which she has held since 2019.
