Matt Maeson
American singer-songwriter Matt Maeson takes the stage at Debaser Strand in Stockholm.
Matt Maeson (born 17 January 1993) is an American singer-songwriter from Virginia Beach, VA, signed to Neon Gold/Atlantic Records. Raised in a family ministry that performed at prisons and biker rallies, he channelled that upbringing into a dark, confessional blend of folk and alternative rock. His 2019 debut LP Bank on the Funeral made history when both its platinum singles - "Cringe" and "Hallucinogenics" - hit #1 at Alternative radio, making him the first male solo artist to achieve that from a debut album.
Matt Maeson announced the 'Watch My Step: A Solo Experience' tour, a 29-date run covering the US, UK, Ireland, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, Norway and Denmark, starting May 15, 2026.
Maeson released his third studio album A Quiet and Harmless Living via Atlantic Records, with lead single 'Downstairs' reaching #1 at Alternative radio.
The studio single 'Everlasting' was released in June 2025, previewing themes from the then-upcoming third album.
Maeson released the live album That's My Cue: A Solo Experience, recorded across more than 30 intimate shows during his 2023-2024 acoustic headline tour.
A Quiet and Harmless Living chronicles Maeson's personal changes including marriage, relocating from Austin to Nashville, and becoming a father.
