Welsh post-hardcore band mclusky performs raw, groovy music with provocative song titles at Monument in Göteborg.
mclusky are a post-hardcore and noise rock trio from Cardiff, Wales, formed in 1996 under the name Best. Fronted by Andrew Falkous, they built a cult following with three critically praised albums - most notably 2002's Mclusky Do Dallas, recorded with Steve Albini - before splitting in 2005. After reunion shows from 2014 onward, the band returned in full with a fourth album, The World Is Still Here and So Are We, released on Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings in May 2025, followed by the six-track EP i sure am getting sick of this bowling alley in March 2026.
mclusky released the six-track mini-album i sure am getting sick of this bowling alley on Ipecac Recordings, timed to coincide with a North American tour.
The band's fourth studio album, The World Is Still Here and So Are We, was released on Ipecac Recordings - their first full-length in 20 years.
mclusky formally announced The World Is Still Here and So Are We and released the new single Way of the Exploding Dickhead.
The band released their first new music in 19 years, the four-track EP Unpopular Parts of a Pig, with proceeds going toward visa costs for their 2024 North American tour.
mclusky completed their rescheduled North American tour, which had been postponed from 2022 due to frontman Andy Falkous's hearing-related health issues.
