Megan Moroney (born October 9, 1997, in Savannah, Georgia) is an American country singer-songwriter who moved to Nashville after graduating from the University of Georgia in 2020. Her 2023 debut album Lucky - named best country album of the year by Rolling Stone - launched her career, and her third album Cloud 9 (February 2026) debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, making her one of the few women in country to reach that milestone in the past decade.
Cloud 9 debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with 147,000 equivalent album units - the biggest opening week for a female country artist in nearly two years.
Cloud 9, Moroney's third studio album, was released on February 20, 2026 via Columbia Records/Sony, featuring guest appearances from Kacey Musgraves and Ed Sheeran.
Moroney announced the 43-date Cloud 9 Tour for 2026, her first arena headline run, including European dates in Oslo, Stockholm, Cologne, Paris, London, Manchester, Glasgow and Belfast.
Moroney received the Storyteller of the Year award at Variety's 2025 Hitmakers event in Los Angeles.
Moroney won the first-ever MTV Video Music Award for Best Country at the September 2025 VMAs.
