German extreme metal band Mental Cruelty takes the stage at Monument in Göteborg with support from Ov Sulfur, Extermination Dismemberment, and Acranius.
Mental Cruelty is a German deathcore band from Karlsruhe, active since 2014 and signed to Century Media Records. Over four studio albums their sound has shifted steadily from brutal deathcore toward blackened and symphonic territory, a move that reached its clearest expression on the 2023 album Zwielicht. The record brought the band to a wider international audience and set the stage for extensive touring across Europe and North America.
Mental Cruelty released the single 'Helheim' featuring Signs of the Swarm's David Simonich and launched a 28-city North American tour alongside Signs of the Swarm, ten56., Carcosa and Face Yourself.
The band's official website announced a new album is in the works.
Mental Cruelty are scheduled to tour Europe in spring 2026, joining forces with Kanonenfieber for dates including Denmark, Sweden and Poland.
Mental Cruelty completed a European support run alongside Cradle of Filth and Butcher Babies in late 2024.
A deluxe reissue of Zwielicht, titled 'Symphony of a Dying Star', was released in 2024.
