Mik Kaminski

About

Mik Kaminski (born 2 September 1951, Harrogate, Yorkshire) is an English violinist best known for his role in Electric Light Orchestra from 1973 to 1980, where his trademark blue electric violin became one of the band's most recognisable visual and sonic signatures. He joined ELO after answering a Melody Maker advert and appeared on classic albums including On the Third Day, Eldorado, Face the Music, A New World Record and Out of the Blue. After ELO he continued the band's legacy through ELO Part II (1991-2000) and then The Orchestra, retiring from live performance in January 2026.
