Miles Teller (born February 20, 1987, in Downingtown, Pennsylvania) is an American actor who trained at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts. He broke through with the music drama Whiplash (2014), earning wide critical acclaim opposite J.K. Simmons, and reached a global audience as Lt. Bradley 'Rooster' Bradshaw in the blockbuster Top Gun: Maverick (2022), which grossed $1.5 billion worldwide. His work spans indie dramas, action films and romantic comedies, with recent projects including The Gorge (Apple TV+, 2025) and the A24 rom-com Eternity (2025).
