About

Mimikry is a Swedish punk band from Borlänge, Dalarna, formed in 1993 by singer Hjalmar "Hjalle" Östman and drummer Jonas "Heavy" Stentäpp. The duo first gained national attention through the TV show "På rymmen" (1998), and went on to build Mimikry into one of Sweden's most enduring punk acts - nine albums deep, with politically charged lyrics that have never softened. Their 2004 track "En flicka som är stark" remains their best-known song, with over 11 million streams on Spotify.
