Nia Long (born October 30, 1970, Brooklyn, New York) is an American actress with a career spanning over three decades, best known for her work in Black cinema. She rose to prominence with Boyz n the Hood (1991) and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, then built a defining filmography through Love Jones, Soul Food, The Best Man and Big Momma's House. A four-time NAACP Image Award winner, she portrayed Katherine Jackson in Antoine Fuqua's Michael Jackson biopic Michael (2026).
