Nick Van Eede (born 14 June 1958, Sussex, England) is a singer, songwriter and record producer, best known as the frontman and driving force behind Cutting Crew, the London-based rock band he co-founded in 1985. The band's debut single "(I Just) Died in Your Arms" topped the US Billboard Hot 100 for two weeks in 1987 and reached the top 10 across Scandinavia and beyond, earning Cutting Crew a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist. Van Eede has kept the band active ever since, releasing new material and touring steadily - in 2025 the band marked their 40th anniversary with a packed UK tour schedule.
