Nicole Mary Kidman (born 20 June 1967 in Honolulu, raised in Australia) is an Australian-American actress and producer whose career spans more than four decades. She won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her portrayal of Virginia Woolf in The Hours (2002) and has received five Oscar nominations in total, alongside six Golden Globes, two Primetime Emmys and a BAFTA. In 2024 she became the first Australian to receive the AFI Life Achievement Award.
