Dancer Noah Hellwig and violinist Malin Broman create a concert where music and movement converge. The orchestra explores classical dance works by Bartók, Dvorák, Bruch and Brahms alongside contemporary pieces.
Noah Hellwig is a Stockholm-based Swedish dancer, choreographer and performance artist who trained at Kungliga Svenska Balettskolan, holds a BA from Central School of Ballet in London and an MA in Choreography from Stockholm University of the Arts. He works across contemporary dance, baroque dance, interactive performance and mixed-reality (VR/XR), and has collaborated with institutions such as the Royal Swedish Opera, Folkoperan, Musica Vitae and Nordic Baroque Dancers. His own choreographic work - including the XR pieces Multiplex Realities and Frictional Realities - centres on participatory formats, immersive environments and the relationship between the body and technology.
Konstnärsnämnden awarded Hellwig a project grant for Breaking Facade in the 2025 dance and circus funding round.
Breaking Facade was presented at the SITE/Specific Festival 2025 on 23 May, with audiences able to participate on stage or watch from the auditorium.
Hellwig received an international exchange grant from Konstnärsnämnden to perform at Fratz International Festival in Berlin and Baboro International Arts Festival in Galway.
