Overmono is a Welsh electronic duo formed by brothers Tom and Ed Russell, who grew up in Overmonnow, Monmouth - the place that gave the project its name. Before joining forces, Tom produced hard techno as Truss and Ed made rave and drum and bass as Tessela; together they built a sound that pulls from UK garage, breakbeat and rave culture into something distinctly their own. Their 2023 debut album Good Lies entered the UK charts at #11 and brought them wide recognition, while their 2026 follow-up Pure Devotion, released on XL Recordings, has cemented their place among the most talked-about live electronic acts in Britain.
Overmono released their second studio album Pure Devotion on 7 August 2026 via XL Recordings, an 11-track LP featuring collaborations with John Joseph Holt, Kindora, Ruthven and Rock Floyd.
The duo announced Pure Devotion with lead single 'Lockup', revealing the album was made using unconventional techniques including tape manipulation and damaged speakers.
Overmono headlined a series of major UK shows in 2025, including Glastonbury, All Points East and a sold-out 10,000-capacity Alexandra Palace in London.
The duo released the single 'Paradise Runner' in November 2025, described as a trancey track continuing their post-Good Lies run of singles.
Overmono collaborated with Fred again.. and Lil Yachty on the 2024 single 'stayinit', and also released an edit of The Streets' 'Turn the Page'.
