Max Raabe & Palast Orchester perform their "Night And Day" tour at Malmö Live - an elegant and witty concert exploring life's most fundamental moments.
Palast Orchester is a Berlin-based ensemble founded by singer Max Raabe in 1986, built around the sound of German dance and Schlager music from the 1920s and 1930s. The orchestra performs original Weimar-era arrangements alongside Raabe's own compositions and the occasional pop cover reworked in period style. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 hit 'Kein Schwein ruft mich an' and the film 'Der bewegte Mann'; international recognition followed, including a sold-out Carnegie Hall debut. The TV series Babylon Berlin brought the ensemble to a new generation of fans across Europe.
Max Raabe released the solo EP 'Komm Mal Her' as a preview of an upcoming pop album he is currently working on.
The band announced a return to Norway, Finland and Sweden in September/October 2026 with the 'Night and Day' programme.
A reworked version of 'Ans Herz gehn' was released as a single, accompanied by a new music video.
Extra dates were added to the 'Hummel streicheln' tour for 2026 due to popular demand, including additional Berlin shows after the February run sold out.
Trombonist and violist Jörn Ranke, a member of Palast Orchester since 1988, died following a tragic accident.
