Patrice Lumumba was a Congolese politician and the first prime minister of the Democratic Republic of the Congo after independence in 1960. He was ousted in a coup and killed in 1961, becoming a lasting symbol of African liberation. The documentary "Soundtrack to a Coup d'Etat" centres on his downfall and the involvement of foreign powers.
