About

Plastilina Mosh is a Mexican alternative rock and electronic duo from Monterrey, formed in 1996 by Jonás González and Alejandro Rosso. The two brought radically different musical backgrounds - González from noise rock, Rosso from avant-garde and electronic experimentation - and fused them into a sound that spans funk, hip-hop, jazz and dance, often switching languages mid-song. Their 1998 debut Aquamosh was named record of the year in Mexico and broke them internationally; they were among the first rock en español acts to get MTV rotation in the US. Part of the Avanzada Regia movement that put Monterrey on the global alternative map, they remain active and have released new singles as recently as 2025-2026.
