About

Popsicle is a Swedish indie rock band formed in Stockholm in 1991, credited alongside The Wannadies and Brainpool with launching the 1990s indiepop wave in Sweden. Their debut album Lacquer (1992) reached #34 on the Swedish charts and won a Grammis for Rock Album of the Year; the follow-up Abstinence (1994) and the self-titled third album (1996) cemented their reputation, with 'Not Forever' becoming their biggest hit. The band split in 1999, briefly reunited in 2005, then reformed again in 2018 and has continued to perform live.
