Pretty Maids are a Danish hard rock and heavy metal band from Horsens, formed in 1981 by vocalist Ronnie Atkins and guitarist Ken Hammer. Their 1987 album *Future World* sold over 300,000 copies and remains a genre landmark; the band has since released fourteen studio albums and toured alongside acts such as Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, and Whitesnake. After a hiatus that began in late 2019 - partly due to Atkins's cancer diagnosis - the band returned to live performance in 2024 and has been active on the festival circuit since.
